Remember teenage mags where famous people answered questions about what they like and disliked? Well, this is my time to be famous!
What is your favourite pet?
None – I hate pets. Especially dogs! They like biting my ass! One time I was playing rugby at school. I was full back and I was quite good at the time. I was fearless and would tackle anybody and anything. Normally, at 11 years of age there wasnt much tackling been done and there was usually a big guy in the opposition who would just plough through everyone – until he came to me, the little guy at full back. I would flatten him with a crunching tackle!
But this one time, at band camp, a fecking dog was on the prowl and saw my ass (the cute thing that it is!). He took a fancy to it and decided that he would take a taste of my tender chops! Yes, he took a bite out of my ass.
At the time I didnt think much of it and played on for the rest of the game.
I took the bus home and started to feel a little drowsy. As the bus slowed down as I was about to get off, he didnt actually stop. So I jumped off, still a little dizzy, and as I jumped off I went straight into the bus stop pole! Head first! The bus headed off and I was just dazed. I started walking home and then some old lady stopped me to ask if I was OK. I told her that I was but she asked me why my head was gushing blood!
Once I caught sight of the blood I panicked and legged it home. Eventually I was brought down to hospital for tetanus shots in my arse (cause of the dog) and stitches in my forehead cause of the bus stop!
And all of that because of a dog.
So NO, i dont like pets!
What’s your favourite food?
Dog!
Really, have you really tried it?
Yes, I have tried it and it was tasty. I tried it up in Northern Thailand – tasted a little like a chicken mixed with pedigree chum!
What other mad stuff have you eaten?
Giraffe, elephant, rat, guinea pig, boar, buffalo, snake, kangaroo, alligator, crocodile, bugs, crickets, slugs, snails, horse and probably a few other things. PS – I HAVE eaten all of these!
What is your favourite place in the world?
Wow, tough question. I have a real soft spot for Laos. Something about the place that just appeals to me. Thailand is an awesome place too. Ireland has some major advantages but overall I have to say that I couldnt choose 1 place. I love to travel and I love to explore. IN the last few years I havent explored that many new countries but I hope to start off again soon!
What kind of music do you like?
I am into all types of music. At the moment I love Hip Hop – I love to bop! When I was younger I was not afraid to tell people that I like WHAM! Of course, I got some serious stick from the lads about this and it was probably one of the main reasons why I didnt like school all that much. Sometimes, it is better to keep quiet and keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself but I was never really good at that!
What’s your favourite colour?
Blue
What’s so good about you?
I am a nice guy! Really, I am!
What kind of music are you into?
I am into all kinds of music. I love all pop music. When I was younger Michael Jackson was one of my heroes – the Thriller album took centre stage in my collection for years. I was also into Wham! when I was younger. I was very brave (or stupid) because I wrote WHAM! on my school bag – most of the others were writing Iron Maiden, AC/DC and all that other hard rock crap! Of course, I was bullied because of this but I didnt really care that much! For me, its funny looking back now. A few weeks ago I went to the George Michael concert in the RDS and I am pretty sure the same guys who bullied me would have been at the concert! I am sure that a lot of them actually liked WHAM! but because of peer pressure just didnt want to admit it. I have always been one to stick up for my own beliefs – even if its not popular. However, sometimes for a quieter life I should keep my mouth shut.
Are you a good socialiser?
I’m not sure – it all depends on my mood and where in the world I am! In Ireland, I really do think that my wings are clipped. I think I am much more confident in an alien environment. I have travelled all over the world and feel I could survive anywhere. But Ireland is a completely different challenge. Its Friday night now and I am at home watching TV – I feel that I should be out there enjoying myself – but in Ireland I just dont have the drive to go and do something about it. If I was anywhere else in the world I would be out there experimenting!
