Somehow, I seem to be on a detox……I havent had alcohol for a few weeks….

No moving this weekend – but I still have loads of stuff to sort out. I still feel like I am living out of a suitcase! I know that I wont be staying in this house for more than 6 months. But I still need to sort out things to make it more comfortable during that time.

The new girl has moved in – early days yet! I would love to give all my indepth opinions here but I think I need to be a little discreet – just in case she gets wind of it!

I did a little bit of DIY this weekend – which is amaxing for me – usually I cant even change a fecking lightbulb! But I did manage to put a whole pile of shelves together and they are still together!

Work is getting very busy and the more I get into the work environment here the more I realise how much I have actually achieved over the last 10 years. I am sure that I am on crap money at the moment – but I am willing to accept that as I try to reclimatise to life in Ireland – but after a few more months I will definitely be looking for more cash!

The new IRish government is in full flow – stamp duty changes have been implemented – but all the furore has been about Beverly Cooper Flynn.

In Thailand – the Junta still hang onto power and it looks like they are really trying to get taksin back to Thailand to face corruption charges. I am sure that he will fight this with all his might!

Its still unclear whether or not his bid for Manchester City will still go through – but I hope it does. I would also like to see Thaksin back in Thailand – but running the country!

Kerry beat Cork in the Munster final today. It was a great finish to the game and two late points allowed Kerry the narrow win! It was a very entertaining game! The hurling was crap though!

Really cant wait for the premiership to start up again – i really miss it! It wont be long now….. and the buying season is in full flow – hopefully the new United guys will make a big impact!

Using the dopod as my mp3 is working out fine. I dont need a separate player at all. I have ordered a 2gb micro SD card for my Nokia phone – still hasnt arrived yet but when it does I will use that for my music.

TOday I spent ages trying to get the DOPOD to connect to the internet. It just wouldnt work. So I have opted for a hard reset and as we speak the whole thing is falling apart. I cant even restart it now. I am at my wits end!

I have a couple of extra web related projects that I am working on at the moment and that should make me a few bob. One of them has great potential! I am using my Thai developers in Bangkok to do a lot of the work and the quality of what they are delivering is very impressive!

Billy no mates – thats me at the moment! Its really gas – i am just not looking for any social activity. Its as if I am just not bothered! And really I am not bothered. So from an ENTS point of view this would definitely be a low – but on the positive side – it means that I will just enjoy the high points even more.

Big Brother – i am officially addicted. I switched it on a few weeks ago and just had it in the background. BUt somehow I just got sucked in and now I have to watch it all the time. I even watch it live sometimes but the sound seems to go!

I wanted to get Tracey out – she is a freak. Charley is unique but great entertainment!

This week was a bad week for settling back into things in Ireland. Too much about this week has made me think that I am not going to settle here at all. There are too many negatives building up and all the positives about Thailand keep flooding back at me.

Sure, the grass is always greener – but I am not just going for the easy option. I am being realistic.

If I could manage to live and work in Ireland for 6 months on contract work – I would be able to spend the other 6 months in Thailand. That way, if I timed itright, I wouldnt have to pay much tax in Ireland and I would be able to live it up in Thailand.

I have been talking to Nang everyday this week on Skype and it looks like the house will not be finished on time – probably a week or two late – but that is acceptable. Hopefully she can get a visa to come over here in October sometime – or maybe earlier if she has finished her studies! Maybe that would make things better in Ireland!
