The election campaigning continues and I am following it daily.
Well it looks like I will be back working sometime next week. It will be great to get back into the swing of things and I am sure it will be a major help with settling back into life in Ireland.
So far I havent really settled that well but I have only myself to blame. For some reason I am not motivated to socialise in Ireland. I think I have been out on the town a total of 3 times in over 2 months. There is too much hassle involved between phoning around friends, picking a location, getting there, queuing at the bar, getting squashed and pushed around in the pub and then trying to get home! Thats the worst part, in all my years away they still havent managed to sort out the public transport and taxi situation!
I have been following the Election with great interest. Because I have the radio on all day I hear all the latest developments. I am also watching the News and Prime TIme. A major thing that strikes me is the amount of repitition. The same stories are coming up again and again and I notice it more cause I am tuned in more.
Is there a difference between the parties? I think there is. But there isnt that much. I still believe that FG and Labour will form the next government and that FF and Bertie will be out on the wings. I think that Bertie will then be removed as leader of FF.
Enda Kenny is improving as a leader and he is proving the doubters wrong. I think he still has a lot to learn and he needs some polishing but he will get there!
The last few games of the Premiership were fairly poor for United but the league was won already!
West Ham stayed up but for how long? I think they will struggle in the courts but I hope that they stay up. Tevez is a very exciting player and would be a great buy for United!
THe FA Cup is next weekend and United can do the double. It will be great to see that! Chelsea are all at sea!
I have been working on a few good ideas online. A couple of these projects could turn into big business but they are taking up a lot of my time. I still think there is major potential on the web and that there is a huge untapped market. The internet is also helping the globalisation process and with my experience working and living in Asia it is helping me considerably.
I am also trying to get something setup on ebay.ie – it is taking sometime but I want to be able to sell Thai products online. I am hoping that I can run this business on a part-time basis.
Again, little to report on the entertainment front. I may even have to remove this section as life appears to be so boring if you are reading this section!
Next month I have a few tickets for some concerts – Beyonce and George Michael.
Enda Kenny will outperform Bertie on Thursday in the Great Debate. I think Bertie will show himself as the weak leader that he really is. He is not a statesman and no matter how he tries he will still have the look of an anorak!
