I used to smoke a lot. Perhaps more than 20 a day.
I started when I was in school and can remember my first cigarette. I was sitting on a wall and trying to act real cool. After a few inhales I completely lost my balance, felt really dizzy and fell over the other side of the wall.
I should have taken that as a hint – but I didnt.
I never really liked smoking but it was the social aspect that appealed to me.
So after a few attempts to give up (some succesful – some not) I decided for good when I was 30 that I would quit forever. And I have!
Over 5 years since I had a cigaratte. Actually, thats not entirely true. About 4 years ago I was feeling socially outcast as I sat at a cafe in Bangkok – on a high chair! Can you guess what happened next? Yep, I fell off the chair, hit my head and was unconscious for a few minutes. Smoking really can damage your health.
The only negative part of giving up smoking has been the increase in weight. I have certainly enjoyed my food more since I gave up smoking and as a result I am “overweight”.
I am hoping that I can add a new article soon entitled “Lost Weight”….. IjustDidIT!
